Case Study

Crate Day is a legendary day in New Zealand culture—a summer celebration marked by mates, music, and, of course, a crate of cold ones. For the Kiwi community living in the UK, Crate Day is more than just a party; it’s a nostalgic nod to home. Crate Day UK was launched as a one-off event in summer to bring that same energy to London, uniting expats and friends for an epic day of tunes, sun, and ice-cold beers.

The Brief

The organisers needed a bold, engaging website to promote the event, drive ticket sales, and share key event info. The site needed to capture the spirit of Crate Day—laid back, energetic, and distinctly Kiwi—while still functioning smoothly on mobile and converting interest into ticket sales.

Our
Solution

Design

We created a vibrant, fun, and easy-to-navigate website for Crate Day UK. The site was designed with bold visuals, playful copy, and a strong summer vibe to capture the essence of the event. A sticky ticketing banner and clear event details helped drive user action, while smooth scrolling, mobile responsiveness, and fast loading speeds ensured a seamless experience across all devices. We also included Instagram integration and an FAQ section to keep party-goers informed and hyped.

Results

The site helped Crate Day UK sell tickets fast, generating excitement and acting as the digital home for the event. It captured the heart and humour of Kiwi culture, while keeping everything clear and functional for users.

Can’t thank the Harrix team enough for the quick and great site they built for our event in June. Tickets are flying and it’s never been this simple before!
